John had a 6 figure income for years. He had taken some advice and put everything in Enron. He was nearing retirement when word came that all his investments had tanked. Now he found he had absolutely nothing left. He was so despairing he was unable to function. He lost his job, his car, his home, his insurance, and his girlfriend of twelve years. He lost hope.
*
A work colleague told him about Family Health Care and even made an appointment for him. John said he came to the visit because FHC was on the bus line.
*
John could not concentrate enough to count change. He was tearful throughout the visit. He had not bathed for some time and wore clothes with food stains.
*
Intensive counseling and anti-depressant medications helped. After a few weeks, John found some spunk. Through referrals, he got a job at a bookstore, and an apartment he could afford. A year and a half later, he was an assistant manager and was offered a position as manager at a store in another city. John moved and was given a referral to another doctor. He continued to take his medicine and found a counselor to help him sustain his recovery from loss.

Family Health Care was here for John because of generous donors that sustain us.
